Fellow adventurers, it’s that time of year again – join us at the bi-annual Midwest Mountaineering Outdoor Adventure Expo this April! “The Expo” has over 60 exhibitors and more than 100 presentations by experts in a multitude of fields: parks and trails, high-adrenaline adventure, nature conservation, and of course, travel.
This three-day event has free admission and easy parking so you have lots of time to starting planning your next adventure! The Expo is Friday, April 27 – 29, 2018: Friday from 2:00pm-9:30pm, Saturday from 9:00am-6:30pm, Sunday from 10:00am-5:00pm. This presentation, given by Jordan Harvey, will offer jaw-dropping images of the region’s incredible natural beauty from a variety of both active Patagonia expeditions and luxury Patagonia vacations along with practical advice on traveling through this vast area of wilderness and cultural intrigue.
The Galapagos Islands, some 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, is one of the most unique, pristine and remarkable destinations in the world. Ecuador is home to nearly every ecosystem imaginable. Visits to Ecuador can include the cloud forest, Andean Highlands, historic haciendas, remote indigenous communities, volcanoes, the Amazon Jungle, colonial cities, and of course, the famed Galapagos Islands.
This presentation, given by Renee Davies, will show astounding photos of the Galapagos Islands and mainland Ecuador, as well as share practical advice on everything from picking the perfect Galapagos cruise for you to where to go in mainland Ecuador and how to plan the perfect itinerary.
