On arrival, your local guide will welcome you to Argentina and take you to your boutique hotel in the Palermo neighborhood, where gourmet restaurants mix with laid-back cafés, and fashionable nightclubs mingle with historic theaters and museums. Take the afternoon to relax or begin exploring the unique architecture, beautiful plazas, and colorful culture of this famed city.

DAY 2 •  Buenos Aires

Delve deep into the distinct and culturally-rich neighborhoods of Buenos Aires as your local guide introduces you to the fascinating history and dynamic culture of Argentina’s capital. Explore elegant Recoleta, the vibrant colors of La Boca, and the architectural wonder of the iconic Teatro Colón. With so much to see, your guide will tailor the day to your interests, from gastronomy and fútbol to art and architecture.

Optional evening experiences could include reservations at a private puerta cerrada restaurant, or learning a few tango steps to practice with locals at a milonga.

DAY 3 •  Buenos Aires – Iguazú Falls

After a morning flight to Iguazú in the subtropical jungle of northern Argentina, cross the border into Brazil to catch your first glimpse of the breathtaking Iguazú Falls. Enjoy a sweeping postcard view of more than 270 waterfalls as the Iguazú River flows through a deep, horseshoe-shaped canyon. Experience the natural wonder of Iguazú before continuing on to your hotel.

DAY 4 •  Iguazú Falls

You will continue your Iguazú Falls tour today, exploring the Argentine side of Iguazú, walking along a variety of trails and walkways, and taking in the falls from different viewpoints along your route. Witness the broad river tumbling into Devil’s Gorge, surrounded by the emerald colors of the rainforest below. Even by Argentine standards – a country full of natural wonders – the Iguazú Falls, are an extraordinary sight.

To get an even more personal experience of the falls, add a thrilling safari boat ride that takes you through the waves right up to the rushing waterfalls.

DAY 5 •  Iguazú Falls – Bariloche

Fly to Bariloche, the core of Argentina’s idyllic Lakes District. Discover the alpine-style architecture, and sample the treats that gave Bariloche its reputation as the Chocolate Capital of Argentina. Appreciate the highlights of Bariloche as you discover its iconic sights through a unique mix of scenic stops and hiking opportunities. Take in the beauty of the surrounding lakes and mountains from striking overlooks, and hike through native forest for stunning views of the peninsula. Reward yourself with an interactive lunch and a beer tasting at a traditional microbrewery to round out your broad introduction to the area.

DAY 7 •  Bariloche

Discover the remote and secluded branch of Lake Nahuel Huapi, Brazo Tristeza, by private boat. Move along this impressive glacial fjord surrounded by beautiful mountains and waterfalls along your way. At the end of the lake, start a beautiful walk through the native forest of coihues and alerces up to a group of waterfalls on the Frey River. Enjoy a lavish gourmet picnic along the shore, reveling in the natural wonders and solitude of this location unlike any other.

DAY 8 •  Bariloche – El Calafate

Journey south to El Calafate, where you travel through gorgeous scenery to Nibepo Aike, a traditional estancia located in Los Glaciares National Park. During your time at the estancia, staff will give you suggestions for walking trails, horseback riding and experiences of rural Patagonia. Hike along marked trails to find gorgeous views of Lake Argentino, Patagonian mountains, and glaciers, or follow the paths through native grasslands on your local exploration.

Continue to enjoy the spectacular surroundings during your stay at Estancia Nibepo Aike. Experience the tranquility of the Argentine countryside and enjoy its stunning surroundings while you learn about traditional Patagonian lifestyle and culture. Watch Argentine gauchos riding by, herding their cattle and sheep and disappearing over the mountains, or join them for their daily chore of sheep shearing. Live at a slower pace and become part of estancia life as you unwind.

DAY 10 •  Patagonia

Marvel at the massive glacier wall of Perito Moreno and admire its vibrant colors ranging from white to turquoise as it descends into Lake Argentino. Spend the day visiting the various scenic overlooks and viewpoint areas around the sprawling glacier, where you will be able to witness the ice calving. You will also take a boat ride to get up close and personal to the face of the glacier.

Alternative experiences, such as a short trek on the Perito Moreno glacier or a more demanding ice hike, are options as well.

DAY 11 •  El Calafate – Mendoza

Arrive in Mendoza, where tree-lined avenues filled with cafés and restaurants lead to beautiful, colonial-style plazas. In the evening, join chef Cristina Brino for an engaging cooking experience in the garden, where you will learn about Argentine cuisine as you try your hand at creating typical dishes using fresh ingredients from the vineyard.

With the spectacular Andes as your backdrop, visit three of the best wineries in the region, each one bringing their own flavor and spirit for a completely unique experience between all three. Travel through the breathtaking Luján de Cuyo wine Valley, stopping for visits and tastings focused on the highly-celebrated Malbec varietal. At one of the wineries, enjoy an incredible gourmet lunch with a wine pairing that highlights the delicious regional gastronomy.

DAY 13 •  Mendoza

Take in the gorgeous panoramic views as you head into the Quebrada del Condor on a day of exploration. In an amazing foothills setting, hike or horseback ride with your gaucho guide around the gorge, nestled in the Andes Mountains. On the winding paths, you will experience the beautiful landscapes, flora, and fauna, culminating at a viewpoint where you can admire the unique scenery of the Andes ridge. Be part of an authentic asado barbecue before returning to your vineyard accommodations.

Wine aficionados could choose to spend the day exploring the Uco Valley, another of Mendoza’s acclaimed wine valleys.
