On arrival, your local guide will welcome you to Argentina and take you to your boutique hotel in the Palermo neighborhood, where gourmet restaurants mix with laid-back cafés, and fashionable nightclubs mingle with historic theaters and museums. Take the afternoon to relax or begin exploring the unique architecture, beautiful plazas, and colorful culture of this famed city.

DAY 2 • Buenos Aires
Delve deep into the distinct and culturally-rich neighborhoods of Buenos Aires as your local guide introduces you to the fascinating history and dynamic culture of Argentina’s capital. Explore elegant Recoleta, the vibrant colors of La Boca, and the architectural wonder of the iconic Teatro Colón. With so much to see, your guide will tailor the day to your interests, from gastronomy and fútbol to art and architecture.
Optional evening experiences could include reservations at a private puerta cerrada restaurant, or learning a few tango steps to practice with locals at a milonga.

DAY 3 • Buenos Aires – Ushuaia
Fly to the “end of the earth,” Tierra del Fuego. Explore the town of Ushuaia, the southernmost tip of South America, and stroll along its shoreline as you look out at the Beagle Channel. Perhaps venture into the park for your own exploration, or spend the evening enjoying the mountain and ocean views that surround you.

DAY 4 • Ushuaia
Immerse yourself in the rugged, remote Patagonian landscape on a full-day exploration of Tierra del Fuego National Park. Set your own pace as you trek through the forest along the coastal path accompanied by your specialized guide. Enjoy a peaceful lunch surrounded by the clear lakes and mountains, and stay on the lookout for the unique birds and mammals that inhabit the park.

DAY 5 • Ushuaia
Greet penguins and discover the wild nature of Southern Patagonia. Visit historical Estancia Harberton and its fascinating Marine Mammal Museum before boarding a small boat bound for Isla Martillo. Indulge your inner photographer as you pass by the home of a large penguin colony. Continue to Gable Island to take a short hike through the impressive forest to overlook the Beagle Channel and walk along the shoreline before returning to Ushuaia.
You may also add time on Isla Martillo to walk with the penguins, if you wish.

DAY 6 • Ushuaia – El Calafate – El Chaltén
Fly to El Calafate, where you will wind through the steppe to the undiscovered gem of Aguas Arriba Lodge, located in the heart of the Patagonian wilderness. Accessible only by boat or foot, Aguas Arriba is the ideal basecamp to disconnect from the bustle of modern life and experience the pure, natural wonder of the region. Sit back in this cozy lodge and take in the views over the lake and mountains, or go for a trek to discover the surrounding forest.

DAY 7 • Patagonia
Explore the pristine natural surroundings and choose from a wide range of adventurous excursions available at Aguas Arriba Lodge. Hike along the property’s numerous trails, navigate the secluded lake, and marvel at the views of mountains and glaciers. DAY 9 • El Chaltén – El Calafate
Reward yourself with a morning at leisure or a short hike before departing for El Calafate. Gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, El Calafate is situated on the shores of Lake Argentino. Walk along the lake to admire its glacially-fed waters, a kaleidoscope of blues with a background of mountain peaks. Discover the town, perhaps stopping at the Historical Interpretation Center to learn about the region’s history, or doing a little shopping at the artisanal markets.

DAY 10 • El Calafate
Marvel at the massive glacier wall of Perito Moreno and admire its vibrant colors ranging from white to turquoise as it descends into Lake Argentino. Spend the day visiting the various scenic overlooks and viewpoint areas around the sprawling glacier, where you will be able to witness the ice calving. Get up close and personal to the face of the glacier on a surreal boat ride.
Alternative experiences at Perito Moreno, such as a short trek on the glacier or more demanding ice hike, are also options.

DAY 11 • El Calafate – Onward
