DAY 1 • SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – OJO DE PERDIZ
Begin your journey today across one of the world’s most remote locations. Travel to the small border community of Hito Cajón and officially enter Bolivia. In your private 4×4, traverse through the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, where the Green Lagoon sits at the base of the Licancabur Volcano, a place that truly seems like another planet. Continue onward past the Desert of Dali before ending at your accommodations, a hotel made of lava rock situated next to the vast Siloli Desert.

DAY 2 • OJO DE PERDIZ – UYUNI
Drive through the Siloli desert, passing small communities that have made the harsh environment their home, including Culpina, San Cristobal, and the famed Uyuni. Continue onward towards the edge of the salt flats, where the local villagers process the extracted mineral, and end your day at your cozy accommodation, built almost entirely out of locally harvested salt.

DAY 3 • UYUNI SALT FLATS
Drive through one of the world’s most isolated areas, surrounded by nothing but a glittering white landscape. After a couple of hours, reach Isla del Pescado or Incahuasi Island to have a short walk amongst the giant cacti, birds and vizcachas that have made this island their own. At midday stop for a private buffet of delicious local cuisine in the middle of the salt flats, before continuing deep into the desert of salt on one of the hundreds of routes across the flats. In the evening, watch the sun go down in a blaze of color with a glass of Bolivian wine in hand.

DAY 4 • UYUNI SALT FLATS
Explore a wide range of what Uyuni Salt Flats have to offer. First visit the Chantani Museum, perched aside the impressie Tunupa Volcano. This museum was created by a native local entrepreneur who hoped to chronicle the cultures of the salt flat communities. Afterwards, bicycle into the north of the flats, stopping to see the Coquesa Mummies, preserved by the dry air since 1200 BC. On this side there are several small communities, giving you the chance to interact with llama shepherds and quinoa farmers. If it’s the rainy season, boots will be provided so that you can discover the wonderful reflections on the salt flats.

DAY 5 • UYUNI – POTOSI
After breakfast, you’ll depart to Potosi, stopping along the way at Pulacayo, once Bolivia’s most important mining center. Once in Potosi, visit a silver mine to learn more about Bolivia’s mining past, and enjoy a delicious lunch of kalapurka, a Potosi delicacy cooked with heated volcanic stone.

DAY 6 • POTOSI – SUCRE
In the morning, visit the Royal Mint (Casa de la Moneda) and stroll down cobbled streets to peer into colonial churches that reflect Potosí’s once wealthy past. Later you will drive to Sucre, enjoying a beautiful highland landscape surrounded by llamas and vicuñas.

DAY 7 • SUCRE
Today, discover the beautiful city of Sucre, which has preserved much of its colonial past as seen in its winding streets and carved balconies.Throughout the day you will visit beautiful lookouts and parks, museums focused on Bolivia’s textile history, and important and breathtaking cathedrals. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a Bolivian restaurant before visiting the Convent of San Felipe Nery, where chocolates and hats characteristic of Sucre are made. Finally visit the General Cemetery where we can have a look at different mausoleums containing the remains of famous Bolivians.

DAY 8 • SUCRE – LA PAZ
Early this morning, transfer to the Sucre airport and catch your flight to La Paz, where you will begin your day of exploration. Discover the impressive Plaza Murillo in Old Town La Paz, and the fascinating Los Andes district where embroiderers work hard sewing costumes for Carnival. You’ll also visit the Witch’s Market, where natural medicines are sold, before taking a cable car ride down to explore the Valley of the Moon, full of remarkable geological formations. Enjoy a delicious Bolivian lunch during your exploration of La Paz.

DAY 9 • La Paz – ONWARD
This morning you’ll be brought to the La Paz airport in accordance with your onward flight out of Bolivia.
