You will take an overnight flight from the U.S., arriving in São Paulo the following morning.
DAY 2 • São Paulo - Paraty
Arrive in Brazil and meet your local, private guide before embarking on your scenic 4 ½ hour journey north towards Paraty. Enjoy lunch on your way and an evening at leisure meandering the quaint cobblestone streets of Paraty.

DAY 3 • Paraty
Head out today for a guided “insider’s look” experience of old town, seeing the city’s most important sites and learning about its rich and colorful history. Admire beautiful colonial architecture, discover why their street design was ahead of its time, and learn about the more mysterious and dark moments too, like exiled Portuguese royalty and the slave trade. Choose to spend the rest of the day at your leisure, stand up paddle board off of Jabaquara beach, or kayak through green mangroves and hidden islands while spotting wildlife.

DAY 4 • Paraty - Saco do Mamanguá
After breakfast, navigate by traditional boat through Paraty Bay’s crystalline waters arriving to the little-known Saco do Mamanguá located in the Joatinga Peninsular Eco-Reserve, Brazil’s only tropical fjord. Unwind in this hidden tropical paradise.

DAY 5 • Saco do Mamanguá
Enjoy the day exploring independently. Optional experiences could include canoeing through mangroves to a natural pool and lunch at a local family’s home, or a boat cruise and a trek up what locals call the mini-Sugarloaf peak for incredible views of the surrounding bays and rainforest covered mountainsides.

DAY 6 • Saco do Mamanguá - Paraty - Rio de Janeiro
Boat back to Paraty Mirim where you’ll meet your local guide upon arrival and begin the scenic coastal drive to Rio de Janiero.

DAY 7 • Rio de Janeiro
Visit the most important symbol of Rio de Janeiro, Christ the Redeemer, located at Corcovado Mountain before exploring Project Morrinho. Project Morrinho was started by local youth as a way to escape the reality of violence and corruption that surrounded their community before becoming an award winning art installation globally. Today, this art installation turned community project gives people a unique, multidimensional perspective to favela life through an artistic city model made of bricks and other materials.

DAY 8 • Rio de Janeiro - Onward
Enjoy exploring independently in the morning before your private transfer to Sugaloaf Mountain, the famous peak situated at the mouth of Guanabara Bay. A scenic cable car ride gives you a unique perspective of Copacabana, Santa Cruz Fortress, and the beaches of Niterói.
Following your day’s exploration, you will be brought to the airport for your international, overnight flight home.
